Callie Stemerman of Sleepless in SF provides mama groups that are designed to help you bond with your infant, ask question and ease anxiety. This weekly group meeting will teach you parenting skills and most importantly provide a social hour for you and your baby.
Groups are designed to include some structure with space for questions and casual conversation. We cover various topics including (but not limited to): birth stories, breastfeeding, sleep habits/solutions, bath time, and sharing great resources.
For the summer, we are offering drop-in classes, yet we find by signing up for a 6-week series, you increase your chances of creating long lasting meaningful relationships. A community is so vital in becoming a parent and many of these friendships develop into new tribes that extend into years of your child’s development. Parenting can feel isolating, be sure to prevent that feeling from expanding by joining us weekly!
After class, you are welcome to stay in our lounge and mingle unless another class is scheduled. In that case, pack up your strollers and hit the mall and get your errands done while you are here.
Dads are always welcome too, don’t let the name fool you!
Callie has been working with children and families for more than 15 years and is a Certified Pediatric Sleep Specialist, Parent Educator, and mother of two.
She has a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College in New York City and has worked in varied educational settings, from intimate preschools to a large corporate early education center at Google. After her first daughter was born, she hit the pause button on her teaching career to become a certified infant/toddler sleep consultant and hasn’t looked back. She feels it is very important to validate parent's feelings while working with them to develop a plan that will be successful for their individuated circumstance. She prides herself on creating sleep plans that are tailored to a family’s specific needs, beliefs, parenting style, as well as their children's unique temperament, developmental phase and age.
Callie has her own practice, Sleepless in SF, working with Bay Area families in need of sleep support and looking to create sleep programs that work for each individual family and stage of baby development.
Join her for her weekly Friday drop in Q&A for group support on sleep topics and her Mommy & Me groups. Babies are of coarse welcome!
